Fence post repair Newbury RG20
A householder in Newbury had several fence posts that were leaning and unstable, compromising the security and appearance of their boundary. The posts had started to rot and shift in their foundations, making the whole fence line unreliable.
What we did
- Removed the damaged posts and dug out the old, weakened concrete bases across the RG20 property.
- Installed new pressure-treated timber posts to replace the failing originals, ensuring they were properly aligned and square.
- Set each post securely using post concrete mixed with Postmix to create a solid, long-lasting foundation.
- Added concrete spurs to reinforce the base of each post, providing extra stability and resistance to future movement.
- Secured the new posts with coach screws, locking them firmly into position in the Newbury garden.
The fence line is now straight, stable, and built to last. All new posts were bedded in fresh post concrete and braced with concrete spurs for maximum durability. We completed the entire job in one day on site, leaving the householder with a solid boundary fence ready for years of trouble-free service.
A solid fence starts with solid posts.
